About NextPhase

NextPhase builds software for reading, listening and learning.

Right now there is one app: NextPhase Reader — a personal-content reader for your books and documents. Read or listen, keep original and translated text together, and save words to review in context. Audio preparation and exports differ between desktop and iPhone/iPad.

Read it. Listen to it. Learn from it.

How it gets built

Slowly, and with more process than a project this size strictly needs. Every feature starts as a written plan, every significant choice is recorded as a dated decision document, and changes are reviewed before they ship. The reader has several hundred automated tests.

That is not a claim that the software is perfect. It is a description of how it is made, and it is the reason the app is taking the time it is taking.
